Saving money?

I have been in Colorado for close to three years now. During this time I have been focused on school, work, and being a mom. I have not shared a lot about my online life, so most do not know that I have over 1000 articles published online. Most of these articles are about saving money.

A couple of days ago a friend of mine was asking if I used coupons, or if I knew about these sites that give you gift cards to use their coupons. I sent her links to a few sites that I have earned money and gift cards from for a number of years. I have been saving money and making money online since 2009. At one point I was making over $1200 a month by just writing money saving articles. I am sure I could get back to that point if I made time for it, but for now I want to use this as a part time income and way to share my experiences with saving money.

Here are sites I truly trust, and I have made money on since the beginning:

Inbox Dollars The minimum payout is $30 but I usually make that without a problem. You earn by doing surveys, searching the web, printing and using coupons, and other things. You also receive money by referring others.

My survey This site is just surveys. You can cash the points in for merchandise, paypal payments, or a check. There is not really a referral program unless you have a website that has a lot of views. I have been a member since 2009 and have received merchandise to test, and many payments from them.

My Points My points is a site that you can print coupons, shop at online retailers, read emails, search the web, and much more while earning points. You can use these points for many gift cards, and I have received a lot of them. There is a referral program, but it requires you to send emails to your friends.

I highly recommend all of these sites to anyone wanting to save money. It is great because you can save money and make money at the same time. Even with very minimal effort over the last three years, I have taken advantage of these sites.

One of my first articles on Yahoo was about saving money. I read it today, and it is still good tips. 50 Real ways to Save Money

Making the Most out of Online Coupons

There are so many sites that have coupons available. Using these coupons can save a lot of money on our groceries and other products that we purchase for our home. I enjoy using these coupons, but there are sites that you can truly make and save money by using coupons from there site.

I use two different sites that pay me for using there coupons. One of the sites is Mypoints.com. Mypoints.com pays you in point then you can redeem them for gift cards. I have made over $100 in gift cards from Mypoints.com in the last year for doing small tasks like reading emails. I am also close to another $25 giftcard redemption.

Mypoints.com pays me for a lot of things, but my favorite for coupons is Inboxdollars. Inboxdollars pays you .10 for every coupon that you print out and redeem. That means that if you have a .50 coupon you will actually be saving .60. You can save and make a great deal of money on groceries and other household purchases by using a program like this. You can also make money in other ways on Inboxdollars. I have made more than $200 in the last year from the site, and I do not spend a lot of time on the site trying to earn money.

I am sure that there are other sites as well, but these are my favorite two sites to make the most out of your online coupons. If you can actually make money by using online coupons, why not do it. Every little bit of money comes in handy.

Kids Clothing Swap

Clothing is a big part of most parents budgets, next to food of course. There is a lot of different options for saving money on clothes. I found one site that is Thredup. Thredup is a clothing swap site for parents. From what I can see you pay the shipping for the box, plus $5 for the box.  There is also ways to make money on the site, but I did not look into that option. I just thought it was something that other moms may like to look into to save money, or make money.

I found this about the site

"Pick a box of clothing posted on the site by a ThredUP parent and for just $5 plus shipping -- each box contains about 15 items -- it's sent directly to your home. We just ask that you post and send a box for every one you receive. About 1,000 boxes are shipped each week; 92% are rated three or four stars out of four. Each box is unique, so if you want the one with Gymboree and Crewcuts, you better move fast."
